Green Papaya Salad With Salted Crab
Papaya Salad is one of the favourite dish for Cambodian people. Mostly they have this Papaya Salad as a snack and it also go perfectly with beer. Papaya Salad is a mixture of fresh vegetable including, Green Papaya, String bean, Water spinach, Tomato, Cabbage with Salted Crab or sometime fresh flower crab, dried shrimp. This dish should taste salty, sour and spicy. All those ingredient need to mix together in the morta and slightly pounding and stiring all together.
You also can have this Papaya Salad with Khmer Noodle and Sticky Rice plus the chicken wing. Below is the ingredient that you need to make the Papaya Salad.
Ingredient:
- Green Papaya, Cabbage and Carrot shreded into small pieces (Put the shreded vegetable in the water bowl and add some lime juice, this will made the vegetable more cirspy)
- Sliced green tomato
- String Bean, Water Spinach, Culantro cut into small pieces
- Lime and Lime juice
- Chili, Garlic, Roasted Peanut
- Dried Shrimp, Salted Crab, Shrimp Paste
- Fish Sauce, Sugar, Umami Seasoning
Ingredient:
- Green Papaya, Cabbage and Carrot shreded into small pieces (Put the shreded vegetable in the water bowl and add some lime juice, this will made the vegetable more cirspy)
- Sliced green tomato
- String Bean, Water Spinach, Culantro cut into small pieces
- Lime and Lime juice
- Chili, Garlic, Roasted Peanut
- Dried Shrimp, Salted Crab, Shrimp Paste
- Fish Sauce, Sugar, Umami Seasoning

How To:
- Get the mortar and pound the garlic and chili together then add the shrimp paste and mix well.
- Add salted crab, dried shrimp, sugar, umami seasoning, fish sauce slightly pound and mix again.
- Put all the vegetable in stir and pound really slightly together in the mortar add sliced lime and lime juice.
- Put all the mixture on the plate add roasted peanut.
- Get the mortar and pound the garlic and chili together then add the shrimp paste and mix well.
- Add salted crab, dried shrimp, sugar, umami seasoning, fish sauce slightly pound and mix again.
- Put all the vegetable in stir and pound really slightly together in the mortar add sliced lime and lime juice.
- Put all the mixture on the plate add roasted peanut.
